After 40 years in clinical practice, Dr. Mullins retired from clinical practice on Friday, August 1, 2025. His announcement:
“To my valued patients,
After 40 years as a rheumatologist at The Center for Rheumatic Diseases and Osteoporosis, I have decided to retire from practice this summer.
It has been my pleasure and privilege to come to know so many of you since starting my clinical practice in 1985. I have valued your trust, your friendships, and the stories of your lives that you have shared with me. Your insights have helped me to understand, and better advise others, how to meet the challenges of improving and maintaining good health.
With your support, our group has continued its tradition since 1968 as a respected rheumatology practice providing quality, compassionate care in our community. I have been fortunate to work with wonderful partners and staff, and I am grateful for their years of loyalty and commitment to our patients and to our practice.
My most important priority is to help you plan for your ongoing rheumatology care. I can highly recommend either of my longstanding partners, Dr. Anu Sharma or Dr. Seema Goyal, who are ready to assume your care at CRD in our new office at 4 Taft Court in Rockville. I can also offer advice about other practices in the DC area, especially for those who travel a long distance to our office.
I wish you the very best of health and fulfillment in the years ahead.
Warmest regards,
William Mullins, MD”
